Chinese New Year Performance

On the 18th of February 2018, Funk Format and friends from the University of Portsmouth teamed up to create a performance in honour of Chinese New Year. It was then presented at the Chinese New Year Extravaganza at the Guildhall.

Founder of Funk Format, Sasha, created and choreographed the performance, along with the help of ambassadors and friends. Over a couple of sessions, we prepared a fun and energetic piece. The performance combined the talents of professional dancers with younger performers. This gives equal opportunity and invaluable performance experience to all involved, which is so important to the art of dance.

The performance went off with booming confidence. Audience members and organiser’s feedback stating we were “the best show of the day!”
