Sasha Biloshisky
Sasha has dedicated his life to making a positive change in the world. He has achieved great success as a performer, educator, and artistic producer, but what truly sets him apart is his unwavering commitment to social good. Sasha founded Funk Format, a community interest company that uses dance to drive social impact, and his work has touched the lives of countless people around the world. Sasha’s unique blend of charisma, creativity, passion, and a fun personality inspires everyone around him, and his attentive teaching style ensures that everyone can learn and grow. Sasha is a force for good in the world, and his work has touched so many lives, inspiring individuals to use their talents for the greater good of society.

Raj Choudhury
A passionate creative with over two decades of experience helping Funk Format craft visually compelling designs that bring the brand to life with style and precision.

Roni Edwards
Roni Edwards is an esteemed Zambian-born performer and instructor with over 15 years of experience in Street Dance forms and Authentic African Social Dances. Having received professional training at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Roni continues her training with dance pioneers while participating in national and international dance camps.

Jasmine Williams
Not only Jasmine keeps our office in motion, but she also dances and performs in various dance forms.

We seek team members who whole-heartedly believe that dance and arts can change lives.
Areas: Portsmouth, Southampton, Hampshire, West Sussex.
Team roles:
- Dance teacher (with some understanding of Street Dance)
- Teaching assistants (prior teaching experience is not necessary)
- Performers and Artists (all genres)
- Fundraiser
- Volunteers for exciting projects
- Do you have skills that you want to offer
Training will be provided in teaching roles.
You must:
- have a strong desire to make a positive impact in other people's lives.
- be willing to grow your knowledge of Hip-Hop dance forms and culture.
- have the enthusiasm to inspire and motivate others.
- be driven to develop your personal skills.
Rate of pay based on experience.
Volunteering positions are available.

Simon Harmer
Simon Harmer is an internationally known researcher, teacher and performer of heritage/folk dance. He is a Trustee of the Instep Research Team charity that researches into the step dances of the UK. He holds the prestigious Gold Badge Award from the English Folk Dance and Song Society for outstanding contribution to folk arts. His research interests cover dancing sailors, the hornpipe and the vernacular heel and toe stepping of the southern coastal counties. In Portsmouth he has worked on heritage dance projects with Sasha Biloshisky of Funk Format such as Step Your Way , Step Your Way Encore, the Alleyways of Gosport project and The Mary Rose Brawl part of the Mary Rose Museum's Anchored in the Community project.
Simon said: "Volunteering for Funk Format has enabled me to enrich the organisation's offer through my knowledge of heritage dance and the history of Portsmouth. It has also helped me develop in a whole range of movement, administrative and interpersonal skills through collaborating with other creatives and other organisations."

Elizabeth Hall
Liz is a highly skilled project manager with decades of experience managing large projects with cross functional teams. She loves to put these skills towards helping organise Funk Format community dance projects including at the arts festival “We Shine Portsmouth” and the movement project “Jump Up”. She has also recently learnt how to do the Baby Freeze in Breaking, which has made her very happy.
